Students are demanding ever greater mobility. The web-based design of the Online Edition requires that they were tied to an internet-enabled computer to access «The Indonesian Way». With the advent of portable mobile devices, most notably tablets and smart phones, more and more students are expecting downloadable material that allows them to learn while on the go. The existing web-based design of «The Indonesian Way» is unsuitable for mobile devices, not only because the Online Edition is still dependent on Flash technology (the embedded audio files play by means of the Adobe Flash plugin) which is not supported by iOS devices, but also for design reasons. A few years ago most students had laptop computers, but this is slowly changing. Contemporary mobile devices such as smart phones, the iPad and Android and Windows based tablets are successfully replacing laptops and personal computers. The high levels of acceptance and enthusiasm for tablets and other mobile devices in course work among tertiary students demands that computer-based language learning materials shall also be available in the form of either e-books, or as applications for small mobile devices. «The Indonesian Way» is not yet available as an e-book, or as an iOS or Android application, but we are planning to develope a mobile application in the near future. In order to achieve that objective we need your support. Please make a donation to support the development of mobile applications and e-books for «The Indonesian Way». Thank you. Mahalo. Terima kasih.
